About Lloyd Benedict
At Benedict Law, every case tells the story of someone who needed a fighter in their corner. For Attorney Lloyd Benedict, that fight has always been personal.
From Oklahoma City to the Courtroom
Lloyd K. Benedict was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, but it was Oklahoma City that shaped who he is today. His family moved there when he was just five years old, and it was his father — a truck driver for over 40 years — who instilled in Lloyd the values that would define his career: hard work, perseverance, and an unwavering commitment to the “little guy.”
From a young age, Lloyd knew that the most meaningful way he could help ordinary people was to fight for them as a lawyer. That conviction never wavered.
A Career Built on Experience
Lloyd began his legal career at the University of Oklahoma and Rose State College, where he studied Paralegal Studies. In 1988, he was hired as a Paralegal by one of the largest personal injury and workers’ compensation law firms in Oklahoma — and he never looked back.
Over the next 15 years, Lloyd worked his way up through two respected law firms, gaining hands-on experience in every aspect of personal injury law. During this time, he was instrumental in handling and resolving over 10,000 personal injury cases — a record that speaks to both his dedication and his skill.
His contributions didn’t go unnoticed. Lloyd was nominated twice for Outstanding Young Men of America and was selected as an arbitrator for the Tulsa area Better Business Bureau to handle auto Lemon Law cases. He also earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Oklahoma City University during this period.
Rising to the Top of His Field
Lloyd’s extensive paralegal experience gave him a rare advantage when he entered Law School at the University of Tulsa, where he graduated in the top third of his class. He received the CALI Award — formerly known as the American Jurisprudence Award — for excellence in both Constitutional Law and Workers’ Compensation Law, and was inducted into the prestigious legal fraternity of Delta Theta Phi.
Since graduating, Attorney Lloyd Benedict has become a member of the American Bar Association, the American Trial Lawyers Association, and the Oklahoma Trial Lawyers Association. He is also licensed to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma, as well as the Creek and Cherokee Nation Tribal Courts.
